Typical end of a training weekend with a group meditation to seal the energy
Jai Kartar at Sat Nam Wellness works really hard to connect the newly graduated Kundalini Teachers with local studios and events in the community. See bellow the Kundalini segment at the International Yoga Day on June 21 2018 at the Hindu Temple. Sat Nam Wellness was one of the vendors at the event and organized a team of teachers to do the 30min presentation. Each teacher in the stage represented a chakra except the guitar player, he represented the Aura of the group.

FAQ Frequently Asked Questions:
What happens if I miss a day or a weekend? If you happen to miss a weekend or any portion of the weekend, a video of the weekend will be provided via Vimeo for your make up work. The video can't be downloaded as it is considered intellectual property of the training but it can be viewed as many times as you want. You would then write a summary of what you have learned when watching the videos. If you need extra help or explanation there will be Group Leaders to help you assimilate the content you missed. What are the pre-requisites to take this training? Do I need Kundalini Yoga experience? No experience needed. Everything will be taught from a basic level although we do suggest you take some Kundalini Yoga classes and/or read some books prior to the training. We suggest reading the Flow of Eternal Power by Shakti Parwha Kaur Khalsa as an introduction to Kundalini Yoga. The main requirement of this training is a willingness to deepen the connection to your own Self.
Is the written exam open book? The written exam is taken two ways and you can chose. One is a three hour exam done in classroom at our last weekend and it is NOT with an open book. The other choice is to do the take home test which is a more lengthy test but it can be done at home with an open book.
What's an Aquarian Sadhana? Aquarian Sadhana is a kundalini yoga practice done before sunrise most likely between the hours of 4-7am. You will be required to complete 5 sadhanas in the 9-10 months of training. At Sat Nam Wellness, we offer Aquarian Sadhanas every Sunday from 4:30am-7am.
What's the required homework assignment ? The homework consists mainly of reading assignments of the text book included in the training material you will receive. All materials are included in the Course fee. In addition to the text book and manual, you will receive a copy of the Master's Touch book in and around the 4th month of training. You will also receive a three ring binder tabulated to help you with any additional information, forms, tips, lecture transcripts, etc. This is something that most other trainings don't offer but we have added to our training as a valuable tool to keep the material organized and easy to find, specially hand outs.
Will we have a syllabus for each weekend? No, you will know the weekend topics and overall schedule but we do not give a syllabus because we have found that sometimes students pick and chose what to attend.
Is lunch included? A simple vegetarian lunch is included with your tuition so we can gather to eat and partake and build community. We discourage lunch time outings but we do not stop anyone from doing it. The lunch we serve is most likely a vegetarian hearty soup and salad. We also take a snack/yogi tea break in the afternoon.
How we do our practicums? You will do two practicums during the training. One in house practicum with your peers first in order to prepare to your outside Family and Friends practicum. Practicums will probably start around February/2019 and will finish around April 2019. In House Practicums are not a "pass and fail" system but instead a tool for you to realize what worked for you and what did not work so you can teach your F&F Practicum confidently. Practicum assessment forms will be available from Day One inside your there ring binder so you know what is expected of you.
If you want to learn about something, read about it. If you want to understand something, write about it. If you want to master something, teach it. -Yogi Bhajan
